Thanks to a coupon.

When Galactic Heroes first showed up on the scene there was a set with the Naboo starfighter, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Darth Maul. I didn't get this set because I was staunch on my only collecting original trilogy stuff. I am still mainly an original trilogy guy but I have also broadened my collecting to include prequel trilogy stuff. So last year when TRU got this exclusive set which included the never before done Qui Gon and Jar Jar Bink I really wanted to get it but could never bring myself to buy until now. I got a coupon from TRU for 5$ off a purcahse and so I figured it was about time to pick up this great set with a super cool looking Naboo starfighter. May the force be with you all!

Dressing for the weather!

Well this guy is dressed like I wish I had today as it was very very cold for this time of year. Anyhoo. . . . .I went to TRU and they got in a bunch of old Sigma 6 figures and I have wanted this Arctic Duke for a long long time and have always passed it up even when I found it on clearance online. So I had to snag him now since they aren't going to be doing 6" GI Joes anymore (atleast nothing new announced for the last 6 months). I love this size of figure and these have been awesome and I hope this isn't the last one to add to my collection but only time will tell!

Stealth Operations

My beautiful and loving wife went to Walmart the other day and knew that the last of the IM figures I wanted was the Walmary exclusive and so she picked him up for me. Here we have Stealth Operations Suit IM (War Machine suit in essence). Happy day now I don't know what I'll do until there are more IM things to buy!

More Iron in my diet.

So my good friend Billy who works at Target called me today saying they were putting out their IM stuff and that Target got this exclusive figure of Repulsor Red Prototype IM which is essentially just Silver Centurion IM so he put one aside for me and voila here we have a sweet looking IM.
Yesterday TRU put out their IM stuff and so I got the two Super Hero Squad sets. This first one has Tony Stark, Silver Centurion, 1st Appearance, and the totally awesome Hulkbuster.
The second set has IM, War Machine, Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man. These are two great sets and mara was loving playing with these with Xander.

Classic BSG! (400th minimate)

Wow it has been a while since my last post but what a great way to get more toys. When they announced that they were going to do BSG minimates they had a picture of Apollo and a Viper but they didn't release any classic BSG until now and we get a good guy set here with Apollo, Commander Adama, Starbuck, Boomer, and Muffit the robotic daggit. Since Muffit was the first one of these figures that I took out of the package than he gets the distinction of being my 400th unique minimate! Congratulations you win the privilege of showing what a geek Pat really is!
Then we get some bad guys too and we have Imperious Leader, Baltar, Lucifer and two Cylons. This will probably be the only classic BSG sets we get but they are totally awesome!

My toy collection is evolving!

I love that Hasbro is venturing into the expanded universe for new figures (although I wish they would do more older ones than just the new stuff that is coming out). Here we have another Evolutions set based on the upcoming book and game Star Wars Evolutions. This is the evolution of Darth Vaders Secret Apprentice (who we do not have a name for yet). There is him in his Jedi robes, then as the secret apprentice and finally as a Sith lord. I like that these figures are more poseable yet they seem a little too flimsy when compared to older SW figs.
Finally I got the new GI Joe 25th anniversary figures I was looking for and this wave had particular significance to me as here we have Rock n' Roll a figure that got passed down to me as a kid and was the one I always had driving the jeep toy we had.
Then we have a kick but Cobra Commander with battle armor which is a figure that I alwasy remember playing with at my friend Jared's house.
Then my favorite of this wave and also of particular personal significance because it was one of Morri's favs but mine as well we have Lt Torpedo or better known as SEAL (sea air and land) I am glad this series is going to continue because there are still lots more figures I want to see made!
