Its not even Christmas yet!

Ok so it isn't even Christmas yet (who knows what will happen tomorrow) but I have increased my minimate collection (I also descreased it recently by adding some to my trade/sell list) Here we have TRU wave Superior Spiderman and a Black Widow to replace my other one (this one looks much better.

Here is a group of mail away minimates for a Marvel animated movie called Iron Man and Hulk Heroes United. The movie sucked but I got a code to mail away for these great Iron Man minimates and this Hulk in Iron Man armor (I am not keeping the Hulk though)

Here we have the rest of The Wolverine movie wave. Viper, Mariko, Shingen Yahida, and Black Hand Ninja.  I really like the Mariko.

Then here are some of the Thor 2 wave (my order came with some wrong stuff so I have to wait to see on some others).  You have Malekith the leader of the Dark Elves and then one of my new all time favorites, Heimdall!!!!!!

Lastly you have the Villains Zombies box set with Galactus, Red Skull, Green Goblin, and Magneto.  I wish they would do more of the Zombies stuff but they say this is going to be the last of them.

Minifigures ahoy!

So I have been adding to my lego minifigure display and got this Bossk on a keychain for only 3$ wahoo!
Then I had to get this Stass Allie for my Jedi ledo display case.

Go a few TF Kre-o simply because it had been a few weeks since I got anything. So I got Thrust, Huffer and a cool Soundwave with a bunch of interchangeable parts.

Then I got the TRU The Wolverine minimates (I still am waiting for my comic shop wave ones to come) So here you have Ninja Harada, Yukio and then WW2 and Yukon Wolverine.

Last we have a great pack from the TRU wave 17.  You have Pepper Potts as Rescue and the Gremlin as Robot Hulk. Sorry it has been a while and this is brief, but I am still here and still collecting!

Eye popping upgrades.

Well MOTUC has wound down to the point where what I buy is few and far between (just because I am only buying the figures I just can't pass up) so here you have the last one for this year, Mantenna!  He comes with extra eyeballs to attach tomake it look like his eyes are popping out.  He actually has four legs and he is definitely in the top 5 of this whole line for me.  Read the bio below.

I also upgraded my Desert Skiff and Sarlaac so that I could have a MUCH MUCH MUCH better Boba Feet, a cooler Lando, and a new Skiff guard guy.  I am just waiting a package from legoshop.com to finish my lego minifigure display and then I will put up pics of that.

Wave 50 and beyond

After way too many delays wave 50 of Marvel minimates came int he mail today (along with wave 51)  This wave was voted on by fans and even though several that I voted for didn't win (mostly Iron Man stuff) this is a great wave.  The army builder is the Nova Corps Centurion (I am only keeping one but show two inthe pic so you can see the alternate head). Then you have Baron Zemo I and II, a long awaited Captain America villain.

Then you have the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider who looks great and then ONSLAUGHT!  Super cool.

Then to round out the wave you have Cyborg Spiderman and Songbird with a really cool base.

Wave 51 included Nick Fury Jr and Mariah Hill. The army builder was a Heavy Shield Agent who is on the jetpack here. I took the extra pieces that you can put on Nick Fury to make Captain Steve Rogers and put those parts ont he other Heavy Shield agent to maximize what I got out of this wave.

Then you have Sam Alexander Nova (which my son was excited about since we just watched Ultimate Spiderman on Netflix) and then Superior Spiderman which is actually Dr Octopus mind inside of Spiderman.

Lastly you have Shann the She-devil from the Savage land and a Savage land Reaper which is just Sauron to me.  Great minimates here with of course more to come by Christmas!

Lego store in Utah just in time for my minifigure craziness

Ok just to start off, I saw these and couldn't resist as: first I love Donatello, second these are adorable!  Can't wait for ssn 2 of TMNT to start this weekend.  Love these baby turtles and I dare you not to too!

So I am working on some lego minifigure displays as well as trying to update my Jedi/Sith collection as you can see here.  I purchased this updated landspeeder and sold my old one so that I could get a non yellow face Tatooine Luke and old Obi Wan.  I also got a bunch of other minifigures off of ebay.  I will of course be posting my awesome display when it is complete in the next week or so.

I got Deadpool off ebay because I love Deadpool, then the Wonder Woman, Arctic Batman and Man of Steel Superman were keychains that I bought this afternoon at the new Lego store at a mall up at the Valley Fair Mall.  They will also all be going on my minifigure display.  Fun times!  My sister in law also got me a Donatello keychain at the Lego store at Downtown Disney which is good since the Lego store here only had Raphael!

Salt Lake Comic Con!!!!!!

So we went to the first Salt Lake City Comic Con today and had a blast.  The highlight was meeting Nicholas Brendan who played Xander on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as he is the namesake of our Xander! He was incredibly nice.

Here's the three of us (Mara and Jaina didn't come but Xander loved it)

Here is me and Dave Wolverton (He changed his last name to something else now)  who wrote The Courtship of Princess Leia, which is the first Star Wars book I ever owned and he signed my copy!

Then here is me and Kevin J Anderson who has written several SW books, SW short stories, SW comics and lots of other things but he signed my Jedi Search book!

My score for the con was this D Arts Zero figure. He is different than my Kotobukiya Megaman and Protoman but he is still incredible!

He has lots of extra interchangeable accessories.

I also found several booths with great deals on vintage toys but this is the one I couldn't leave without.  This is M.A.S.K. toy Vampire that was the first M.A.S.K. toy I got as a kid.  It is missing the front windshield and missiles but it was a great deal and I love it!
Here is Breanne, me and our friend Meretta! I wanted to meet some of the other famous people there like Ray Park, Peter Mayhew, David Prowse, William Shatner etc but it was so expensive to even take a picture with them with your own camera so we didn't meet anyone else just stood and saw them from like 20 feet away.  Nicholas Brendan was only 10$ so thanks go to him for not being super expensive!

Party on Wayne, Party on Garth, Rokkon Stonedar!

Ok so this wraps up the SDCC 2013 exclusives.  Last years Mattel exclusive was lame, but this year they hit a home run.  You have Rokkon and Stonedar the comet warriors!  You can read the bios below.

Here they are folded up in their rock form.

Here is a better shot of what they look like with their rock pieces on and one without the pieces on.  Although this toy line rocks I can't afford to buy them all so unfortunately there is only 4 announced at this point between now and next march that I care about so there won't be many posts about this line.

Best toy ever!

My toy sense served me well today as I showed up at TRU just as they opened and was able to get the last of the Masterpiece Soundwaves that they had.  Soundwave being my favorite of all the Transformers this is the ultimate of all TF toys for me.  Here is tape deck mode.

Here he is with the 5 (the Japanese version only came with 3) tapes in their little cassette cases.

He also came with a Megatron gun and an Energon cube.

Here he is in his glorious robot mode.

Here are the 5 tapes transformed
Here he is with the 5 tapes transformed.

 So there is Buzzsaw

 Lazerbeak

Ravage

Frenzy and Rumble

Frenzy and Rumble with their earthquake pylons

And the whole group together (Buzzsaw is inside Soundwave).  This is one of those purchases that reminds me why I love toys. I have seriously cut back on what I buy and have sold a lot of stuff but I am glad I got this one and he will never leave me!  Thank you Hasbro!

Deadpools Assemble!

SDCC package came today (more to come later)  and this is one of the best sets they have ever put out and had more accessories than anything ever before!  This is the Deadpools Assemble set which has Deadpool as other Marvel characters and came with pieces to make an extra one.

Here you have Thor-pool, and Phonics Killer Iron Deadopol and then the extra one which I actual had to cannibalize another minimate to have a complete extra one but it is Deadpool so it is worth it!

Then you also have Captain Ameripool and Cable-Pool.  Such a great set.  Of course I would love more characters that haven't been made but more Deadpool stuff is always cool with me!

Then the other SDCC set was a great new Thundercats set with Jaga, Lion-O, Grune the warrior, and Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living.  That Mumm-Ra is incredible!  There is another set announced for Thundercats and I really hope they continue because I am loving this line!
